Capturing the enduring spirit of the Wendat people and the community of Wendake, Bastien's Indigenous craftsmanship has produced this luggage tag exclusively for Destination Canada, using moose hide left over from the creation of their authentic Moccasins. This moose hide is sourced from the Tannery des Ruisseaux in Quebec, which works with Eastern Canada game butchers to ensure the hides of animals raised or hunted for food are not wasted. By using moose hide supplied by the Tannery to create this unique gift, Bastien continues to ensure that in accordance with Indigenous sustainable values, all parts of a harvested animal have been used and respected. We hope this unique git will inspire new opportunities to embrace the Indigenous heritage of Canada.
